I’m convinced that we were meant to be deeply loved works in progress together.
Hi, friend. I’m Kaley Ehret. I’ve been holding space online for us since 2009. I believe we are better together, whether the actual work in progress is our finances, our Christmas, or our souls.
My heartbeat for years has been understanding how I am wired so that I can show up more fully and freely for the sake of the Kingdom of God. Along this path, I have discovered the beauty of connection, the nourishment of spiritual disciplines and rhythms, the radiance of healing communities, and the nearness of Jesus. As a result, I have come to believe that freedom is less of a destination and more of a journey that begins simply by making space to pay attention.
Trained as a Spiritual Director through the Listening People to Life Spiritual Direction program from Sioux Falls Seminary, my deepest joy is helping others listen to the voice of the One who calls them Beloved. (Not familiar with spiritual direction? Click here for a brief summary of the role of a spiritual director.) I offer one-on-one spiritual direction, spiritual direction groups and an online membership community lovingly known as The Sisterhood.
I have been married to Wes since 2002. He is the steady, secure, loyal Enneagram 6 to this deep feeling, free spirited, dreamer Enneagram 4. (Click here to read more about this personality typing tool that has helped us understand each other better). If we were a boat, he would be the rudder and I would be the sail and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
In 2009, we packed our bags and moved from Binghamton, NY to Souderton, PA where Wes took a job as youth pastor at Grace Bible Church. We have fallen in love with our new home and community here, but still get a little homesick sometimes for chicken spiedies (if you know, you know) at Grandma’s house on a Saturday night.
The greatest joy of my life is raising three boys, who surprise me daily with their wit and smarts and volume levels. If there is a vocation that has taught me the most about the value of being a deeply loved work in progress, it is motherhood.
